Team 2188 known as Critical Mass of Belding High School is a robotics team from Belding, Michigan. Our robotics team is an extracurricular activity at our school. It allows students to design and build a robot to compete in a specific game. This game is distributed by FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and it changes every year. FRC has thousands of teams that compete across the world. Our team is only one among them who has a six week period to complete our robot for the game for that year. The games by FRC create fun challenges for students to use their math and science skills. FRC aspires to have kids to pursue and lead in careers pertaining to engineering and technology.
In our first year we received the Michigan Highest Rookie Seed Award at the West Michigan Regional. Ever since then we have strived to improve on our success that we received our first year. Our mission is for students to learn more about engineering and technology by building robots, and have them achieve success in competitions and later in life. All of which is made possible by our generous sponsors, dedicated mentors, and supportive parents. |
